This is pretty cool.

Method Man jumps into the worlds of comic books and non-fungible tokens at the same time.

According to a Friday (Aug. 6) report from Rolling Stone, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper is launching a comic series called Tical World through NFT. Artist Alex Smetsky is handling the illustrations, which are Killer Beez-inspired. The NFT features 3D digital animation and an unreleased song from Meth. All in all, it sounds pretty dope.

Method Man is far from the first musician to jump into NFTs. Back in June, JAY-Z celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, with a special NFT auction. Last month, SZA teamed up with American Express to unload her own special NFT collection that included exclusive concert footage and rare photos. A few months before that, The Weeknd released his own NFT that included included exclusive music.

This new venture is another sign of Meth trying out new things. Since bursting onto the scene with Wu-Tang Clan nearly 30 years ago, he’s flexed an inimitable package of style and substance that’s made him a superstar. In the intervening years, he obviously jumped into an acting career and various other ventures. Recently, a couple of those ventures would be converging into one another.

In May, it was reported Method Man’s entertainment production company SIX AM would be producing How High 3, a sequel to two previous Meth and Redman-starring stoner flicks. How High 2 starred Lil Yachty and DC Young Fly. Now, at some point in the future, Meth and Redman will be teaming up on the big screen once again.

Now, Meth’s got a new comic series and he’s releasing it in a way no one expected. Salute, and stay tuned for more updates on the rap legend.

Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?
"Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?" is dedicated to the mysterious creation of Bitcoin, and acts as the showcase artwork within Javier Arrés’ exploratory series "Bitcoin, The Origin". "Who is the creator of Bitcoin?" The artist, Arrés, explores this question, and the feelings of doubt and mystery that accompany it, through his unique artistic language. An unknown, an enigma. It should be remembered that the name Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym of Bitcoin's author or authors and gives us little insight into its true creator. For this Visual Toy, Arrés uses the signature claw machine, his famous half-operation, to symbolize our collective ignorance and unconfirmed belief: As soon as it has the stuffed animal within its grasp and appears to have solved the puzzle, the animal escapes again, and again. At present, there are three more public and studied possibilities who are either believed to be the creators of the currency or who directly claim the creation of it. It may be all or none of them, yet these three personalities leave us clues which are an important part of this interesting enigma. For this moment, it will remain unknown... In this artwork, Arrés elevates the claw machine from the apparatus, to an iconic pop art object serving as an important element to the Bitcoin creation narrative. Action is everywhere, with each movement serving an iconographical or metaphorical purpose related directly to cryptocurrency: Various ups and downs, roller coasters, mining points, robot, coins and more speak to a sense of hope, risk, mystery, randomness and possibility of pay out. Hundreds of manically thought out details make this creation one of the artist’s most complex Visual Toys to date. ------- "Bitcoin, The Origin" is a set of two Visual Toys, titled "Who is Satoshi Nakamoto" and "It’s Alive!" which reflect and explore the mystery and enigmas behind the creation of Bitcoin. Arrés presents these proposals to us in his signature style, full of iconography, fantasy, maniacal animations and a panoply of details (both subtle and overt) which simultaneously fascinate, hypnotize, and narrate this historical milestone through the singular vision of the artist. Through this series, Arrés freezes a crucial moment of cryptocurrency history, taking a still photo under his vision and turning it into two unique crypto artworks. ---- More info about Javier Arrés: https://javierarres.com/about.html

Rebeca handed you the pot filled with soup, she placed it next to you. As you had foreseen, you had no appetite. Rebecca stared at you, an unyielding gaze. Then, you lifted the lid. You lifted it slowly, as slow as Rebecca had placed it. You felt a strange dread as you uncovered the pot, but understood it was your nerves playing tricks on you. You fantasized of being far away, maybe in the lobby rather than the top floor, alone with her. Rebecca stared at you, an unyielding gaze. And when the lid was finally removed, and you looked inside, and then you looked at Rebecca, and Rebecca was staring at you with unyielding gaze, and she turned her eyes towards the inside of the pot, and she smiled, and you started moaning, and everything decided to dance in front of your eyes, everything started to blend together, and only the image of the lid remained, rising slowly, the liquid inside, and... and... You had not expected that. You were too smart to expect that. You had the intelligence to spare, even to the point that the overflow was unable to keep on living inside your brain, and it decided to seek a way out. Now you count numbers and more numbers sitting in the bunk. No one can get a word out of you, but you used to look through the window, as if you expected to see luminous signs, and then you step forward with your right foot, you twist your hip the same way that someone who is preparing to swing a golf club would, and you bury your empty hand inside the void of your cell.
