Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are shaking up the music industry, and stars like Eminem, Steve Aoki and Shawn Mendes have already jumped at the chance to influence how artwork, music and other assets are valued. As artists auction unique content, they are empowering themselves with a new stream of revenue to supplement income lost to paused live performances.
NFT consumerism is relatively untapped by China's massive market. Like Facebook, YouTube and other popular U.S. social media and demand-side platforms, many NFT channels including Nifty Gateway and Rarible remain inaccessible behind China's great firewall.
Realizing the untapped opportunity, Los Angeles-based East Goes Global social media, branding and DSP/playlisting management agency is bridging the NFT gap that exists between the U.S. and China. The company’s founder Andrew Spalter recently announced a new partnership with CryptoArt.ai, Asia's largest NFT marketplace, to provide western content creators with a platform on which to integrate NFT sales, auctions, collection and transfers.

CryptoArt.ai hosted Shanghai’s first Global NFT Crypto Art Exhibition from May 29 to June 6. The auction generated more than 1,576,300 RMB (about $246,000 USD). Among the most popular NFT sales, "Rainbow Haze" by rising NFT artist mbsjq sold for 400,000 RMB.
The CryptoArt.ai exhibition is significant, Spalter explains, considering the lack of access to NFT platforms in China. Now, after launching three years ago, East Goes Global is using its social media, branding, and IP disruption to empower U.S. artists, celebrities, brands, and influencers in China.
Business expansion was organic at East Goes Global. Spalter explains that he began noticing an increasing number of his clients sourcing new opportunities unrelated to his core service, social media management. Intrigued by brand-new campaigns and television show opportunities that appeared, he stepped back and realized that his company could also provide licensing, trademark, IP, distribution, touring, merchandise and other services.
“That was the big eye-opening moment … in the sense that we no longer market ourselves as your multi-media agency, but more as your go-to for all things China. And that’s where we’re at now,” Spalter says.
East Goes Global has secured almost 63 million reported followers for some of the biggest U.S. stars in the world on Chinese platforms. With a combined reach of more than three billion, the opportunity is great with support across verticals like Weibo, Douyin, Bilibili, QQ and NetEase.
According to CryptoArt.ai, the partnership with East Goes Global will call for superstar IP and NFT, combined with European and American pop music trends, to diversify content on the CryptoArt.Ai platform. Based on the Ethereum ERC-721 protocol, the process integrates NFT generation, sales, auction, collection and transfer.

"Who is Satoshi Nakamoto?" is dedicated to the mysterious creation of Bitcoin, and acts as the showcase artwork within Javier Arrés’ exploratory series "Bitcoin, The Origin".
"Who is the creator of Bitcoin?"
The artist, Arrés, explores this question, and the feelings of doubt and mystery that accompany it, through his unique artistic language.
An unknown, an enigma. It should be remembered that the name Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym of Bitcoin's author or authors and gives us little insight into its true creator.
For this Visual Toy, Arrés uses the signature claw machine, his famous half-operation, to symbolize our collective ignorance and unconfirmed belief: As soon as it has the stuffed animal within its grasp and appears to have solved the puzzle, the animal escapes again, and again.
At present, there are three more public and studied possibilities who are either believed to be the creators of the currency or who directly claim the creation of it. It may be all or none of them, yet these three personalities leave us clues which are an important part of this interesting enigma. For this moment, it will remain unknown...
In this artwork, Arrés elevates the claw machine from the apparatus, to an iconic pop art object serving as an important element to the Bitcoin creation narrative.
Action is everywhere, with each movement serving an iconographical or metaphorical purpose related directly to cryptocurrency: Various ups and downs, roller coasters, mining points, robot, coins and more speak to a sense of hope, risk, mystery, randomness and possibility of pay out.
Hundreds of manically thought out details make this creation one of the artist’s most complex Visual Toys to date.

"Bitcoin, The Origin" is a set of two Visual Toys, titled "Who is Satoshi Nakamoto" and "It’s Alive!" which reflect and explore the mystery and enigmas behind the creation of Bitcoin.
Arrés presents these proposals to us in his signature style, full of iconography, fantasy, maniacal animations and a panoply of details (both subtle and overt) which simultaneously fascinate, hypnotize, and narrate this historical milestone through the singular vision of the artist. Through this series, Arrés freezes a crucial moment of cryptocurrency history, taking a still photo under his vision and turning it into two unique crypto artworks.

The Moth Catcher
In this psychologically bed-headed portrait, a creature sets in a trance; his eyes devolved and vestigal, his third eye open but hardened and in a form resembling a Sharingan.
The imagery therefore expresses an awareness existing in corporeal introspection. The creature’s mind sprouts, on the left side, an emerging face, grinning. To the right side of the head, red tentacles and fingers intertwine–a collaboration of invertebrate and vertebrate consciousness cooperatively handling paint brushes of the sort used to build an oil painting. The neck and throat bristle with random thorns, as from a rose or the upper portions of a beak sprouting from its flesh. The neck itself disassociates into layers of membranous material, terminating upon an abstracted base of convoluted forms composing its body.
The nose is virtually non existent, more a sinus reiterative of the shape of the third eye. Set against the exposed teeth peering out of thick, meaty cheeks, a skeleton-like impression results.
That impression sets behind a visceral set of lips and tongue, which is the creature’s prime seat of awareness. Sensual, organic, the tongue organ hangs, meaty, and with consciousness of a sea cucumber. It illuminates at the tip, drawing the attraction of a nearby moth–with mystery of purpose.

Beautiful Worlds
Welcome to the ‘Beautiful worlds’ where nature and technology have merged into a single entity. These are Ai generated and hand finished visions of solarpunk future in which I would really like our future generations to live and prosper: the future we might have if we took the very “alternative route” which now lies before us: replacing states and corporations which free federations of communities and cooperatives, using decentralist and ecological technologies to create a world beyond economic scarcity and social hierarchy, defined by autonomy, mutual aid, diversity, and inclusiveness.
The long-term goals of solarpunk are freedom and well-being for all by adopting and developing such ecological technologies as: solar, wind, wave and geothermal energy rather than oil or gas to generate electricity; a world of decentralized eco-cities, permaculture and vertical farming, free and open-source software, open-source hardware, small-scale fabrication laboratories, micro-manufacturing, 3D-printing, and countless examples of commons-based peer-production online: meeting the maximum amount of needs, in the shortest time, using the minimum possible amount of energy.
It’s a world of decentralized and confederated eco-communities, using technology for human-centric and eco-centric ends rather than for accumulating power and profit – mending the metabolic rift between first nature (the natural world) and second nature (human culture) – and where social hierarchies of race, gender, sexuality, and disability are considered horror stories from the past “oil age”. Solarpunk desires societies of polycultural ethnic diversity and gender liberation, where each person is able to actualize themselves in societal environment of free experimentation and communal caring;
This philosophy proposes that in order for the social and natural worlds to reconcile, humans must first transform their relations to each other – recreating society along egalitarian, cooperative, and democratic lines – and then transform their relations towards nature – adopting an attitude to cooperation, rather than domination, towards the planet and its nonhuman forms of life.
