LAGUNA HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kreatr, a first-of-its-kind, creator-centric physical NFT marketplace for art and photography today announced that it will officially launch at this year’sSouthwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals, a global event that dedicates itself to helping creative people achieve their goals.

Physical Art: Meet Blockchain

Kreatr’s AI-powered marketplace makes it easy for artists and galleries to break into the NFT market by turning their works of art and photography into physical and digital, NFT certified, limited edition museum-quality prints. Launched on the Flow blockchain in partnership with Dapper Labs, the marketplace provides users with format options to choose from, no gas fees, and a robust reward system. The marketplace allows fans to participate by curating art into collections and earning koins and badges as they curate and collect art on the platform. Kreatr takes the heavy lift out of art production and hands the reins to creators to reach their collector base in a novel way that bridges the physical world and the metaverse. Kreatr also allows artists and fans to participate by curating art into collections and giving back to society as it allows users to donate a portion of each sale to a non-profit of their choice.

“Kreatr is on a mission to become the NFT marketplace for artists and collectors who want to sell and buy physical editions of NFTs or certify existing physical artwork as an NFT on the blockchain,” said Kreatr co-founder and CEO Stephen Thorpe.

“When I found out about NFTs, I was excited about the possibilities and instantly thought about other spaces I had entered early in the game such as the freight train graffiti movement, and how the movement grew in importance over the decades, hence the new Rolling Like Thunder documentary on Showtime,” said Dax, an artist on the Kreatr platform. “With that frame of mind, I took interest in NFTs at the beginning. As the utility of NFTs grows, I cannot help but think of them in their Pong, Commodore 64, Atari-like infancy stage and what NFTs will be as they reach virtuality. The possibilities of the space are endless and I can’t wait to see more of those in our art community in the metaverse and in the future!”

The full list of artists featured in the Kreatr SKY Gallery @ SXSW includes: Federico Archuleta, Askew, Blotto, CES, Chata, Defer, Jim Evans, Ewok, Fankapan, Freedom, Grady Gordon, Matt Gordon, Felicia Graham, Drake Johnson, Joe King, Kyro, Scott La Rock, Dave McClinton,Maxwell McMaster, Drew Merritt, Nojan, Tommy Pierucki, Push, Reyes, Rime, Royyal Dog, Nojan, Dennis Morris, Saber, Slick, Stash, Steel, Estaban Swayze, Trav, Willie T, Evan Voyles, Wane, Mark Ward, Weiszlines, Zes, Danielle Zirk and more in collaboration with Known Gallery and 7th.
