Blankos Block Party, anNFT-powered online creation game, launched today on the Epic Games Store, becoming the firstWeb3title published on the popular PC gaming marketplace.

Mythical Games’ title was previously available fromits own websiteafter launching with an open beta in December 2020, and the company said in June this year that Blankos had amassed more than one million total users to date.

The studio announced plans in June to bring the free-to-play title to the Epic Games Store this year, but it was unclear whether it would be the first such game to reach the marketplace. Gala Games previously announced that its Western-themed shooter Gritwould be first Web3 game on the platform, but it’snot yet available.

Blankos Block Party lets users play and collaborate in a colorful online world, and is inspired by designer/vinyl toy culture. NFTs are used in the game to represent unique items like avatar designs and accessories, which can be bought and sold through the game’s marketplace.

Since launching, the game has brought in a number ofbrand and artist partnersfor limited-edition drops, including Burberry, Atari, and musician Deadmau5. However, owning NFTs is not required to play the game. An NFT is a blockchaintokenthat represents ownership in an item, including video game goods like characters, weapons, and virtual land.

Epic Games Store, which claimed more than194 million total usersby the end of 2021, has taken a different approach to Web3 gaming than its chief rival, Valve’s Steam marketplace. Last fall, Valve said that developerscould not publish games on Steamthat used NFTs or cryptocurrencies in any way.

In response, Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeneytweetedthat while the studio—which publishes the smash hit Fortnite—itself didn’t plan to use NFTs or Web3 tech, it would allow other creators to use them so long as they abide by laws and marketplace guidelines.

The Investor's Dream
The second "Visual Toy" about cryptocurrency and its universe that continues the exclusive collection on this theme. After the first Visual Toy, dedicated to the cryptocurrency itself, this visual toy is the other side of the coin. It represents, as its title tells us, the investor's dream, the current person and his financial hopes. A surreal fantasy of the dreams and longings of every investor, in this case the crypto investor. In this magical, happy and colorful dream, aspirations of all kinds intermingle, both the desire for great benefits, represented in a long animation that shows us a production cycle or series production that ranges from the gastronomic recipe of a two-ingredient cake. Bitcoin slice and Ethereum smoothie, passing through magic, represented in a fairy that transforms the cake into real money, which is sucked into a giant capsule to accumulate it and multiply it. The rest is full of investor aspirations, which appear in their dreams in the form of profits or screens that announce that values are rising steadily, as well as physical possessions, such as the sailboat, the helicopter, homes and other objects or possibilities. A dream full of happiness, fun and hope.

The CryptoPunks are 10,000 uniquely generated characters. No two are exactly alike, and each one of them can be officially owned by a single person on the Ethereum blockchain. Originally, they could be claimed for free by anybody with an Ethereum wallet, but all 10,000 were quickly claimed. Now they must be purchased from someone via the marketplace that's also embedded in the blockchain.
