10/08/2021 $400 Spider-Man NFT Looks Like A PS2 Cutscene

By August 2021 it’s clear that the entire concept of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) is an enormous pump-and-dump scam, but that’s not stopping Disney and Marvel, who over the weekend released the dumbest, funniest piece of Spider-Man trash imaginable and watched people lining up around the block to pay real money for it.

Being very careful not to use the words “NFT” and “blockchain” in their own messaging, Disney and Marvel used an NFT platform—one that specialises in this shit, having sold stuff from DC Comics previously—to sell what they called both a “digital collectible” and a “digital statue”. In truth it was neither of those things, it was a crude 3D model of Spider-Man that released in five different poses, the cheapest of which sold for $40 while the “rarest” sold for $400.

The tweet advertising these items really, honestly said they were only available “while supplies last,” and people buying them were seriously told that “delivery of the models would take up to two hours.” And they sold out!

Here is what the cheapest one looks like.

The Bleeding Heart is a Rape Victim
I make this piece with tears streaming down my face. I have endured the worst violation a woman could endure. He raped me. He took away my power my sweet inner innocence. He tugged hard at my heart and ripped it out and ate it whole. He took it all away from me. I will never have that pureness back ever. I may grow on and heal from the torment but it will forever haunt me, in my dreams and in my mind where my memories are locked away. A lot of the night has been erased for my own sanity and protection but some of the vile darkness does bubble up. It comes to the corner of my mind and reminds me of the horrific night I had to meet face to face with. This night may have made me stronger but it has also broken me in so many ways.

Michael Jordan - Crown Collection
“All you needed was one little match to start that whole fire.”- Michael Jordan. In regards to both the action on the court and everything that happened off of it, Jordan provided a spark that changed the future in so many different ways throughout his tenure in Chicago, and even decades after the fact. And, in the end, he got everything that he wanted when he began his NBA journey: he turned the team and organization as a whole into a respected program, like the dynasties he looked up to as a child. Having steered the Chicago Bulls to an incredible six championship rings in eight years from 1991-1998, scooping up five MVP awards in the process, Jordan is one of just a handful of superstars who have truly transcended their sports. Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s (right) relationship both on and off the pitch was arguably the foundation of the Bulls’ incredible success. Scottie Pippen was present with Jordan for all six championships in eight seasons. Dennis Rodman (left) His relentless and smart play perfectly suited what Jordan and Jackson wanted to do to take the Bulls to greater heights. Although his exploits off the court earned him special fame, Rodman was unquestionably one of the greatest basketball players of his generation and one of the finest defensive players in the history of the game.
