22/07/2022 DeFi Analytics Manager Zapper Adds NFT and DAO Dashboards

The on-chain analytics platform known for its DeFi chops is expanding into the world of NFTs and DAOs.

Crypto startupZapperis growing its on-chain analytics platform with the addition of non-fungible token (NFT) and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) dashboards, the company announced.

The integrations, which mark the launch of “Zapper v2,” or second version, add to the platform’s already extensive decentralized finance (DeFi) dashboards for which the company is known.

Zapper says its new platform touts over 260Web3app integrations, with its services having already been used by 1 million users since its launch two years ago, according to a release.

Analytics dashboards from Zapper and its many competitors mostly operate under the same thesis: The evolution of new blockchain industries, such as NFTs and DAOs, is outpacing the tools to track their development.

“A lot of products operate in a silo, even the analytics products,” Seb Audet, CEO of Zapper, told CoinDesk in an interview. “There are very few products that bridge DeFi with NFTs and DAOs. For us, the important part is the composability and the connection between the ecosystems.”

Audet describes a “Wikipedia-like” vision for the new site, where users can endlessly click and find new information within each page.

The Zapper v2 NFT dashboard allows users to take a deeper look at individual collections, even offering its own price estimation tool that updates in real time based on sale prices.

Users can also profile wallet holders of various collections, tapping into on-chain information, such as token holdings and dates of purchase.

The platform also allows users to follow the wallet activity of their favorite collectors, adding a social spin to the otherwise information-dense experience of tracking on-chain data. Audet says the company plans to eventually integrate a dedicated social feed into its dashboards, a la Coinbase’s newNFT marketplace.

The platform’s DAO dashboard shows users the total value of the different DAO treasuries, along with analytics for its collective holders.

Zapper's last major fundraising came in May 2021, when it raised a$15 million Series Aled by Framework Ventures.

Fuku-Shiva
The term “Fuku” refers to fortune or good luck. “Shiva” refers to the Hindu deity who represents strongly polar qualities, both severe and delicate. On a beach inspired by adventures on Phi Phi island in Thailand, three youths cavort. Two are representational figures and the third is psychologically rendered. A dynamic relationship ensues between the triad; a reciprocity of active and passive states. The boy on the right engages in maneuvers of evasion, defense, and is dressed in a speedo which reiterates the colors and symbolism of the caution tape on the left and upper right frame of the composition. In concurrent reaction the psychedelic figure shoots out a rocket powered paper airplane. The nude boy seated in the froth and sand approaches in passive repose, and is met with active attention but equal physical reserve by the psychedelic being. Perhaps the most naked figure is also the least representational. Looming large, dynamic, and active, it engages its companions playfully. Various symbols interject into the otherwise naturalistic scene, most notably a beach ball and two contaminated barrels nested in the sand. The upright barrel reads “FukuShima” in Kanji. The barrel laying down reads “Dharma”. To the left the scene is bounded by caution tape, reiterating the danger of the nuclear waste while also hosting alien archetypes, whose presence, as is the nature of these entities, runs up and just behind the consciousness of the psychedelic figure’s eggshell-like skull.
