13/08/2021 In Brief

BeInCrypto has announced a collaboration with the Exquisite Workers to host a for-charity non-fungible token (NFT) auction.

Leading crypto media company BeInCrypto (BIC) has announced an upcoming charity NFT auction to celebrate its third anniversary. Opening its doors in August 2018, BIC is a news site that focuses on cryptocurrency, fintech, and privacy. The company was founded with the goal of offering true transparency in the cryptocurrency industry.

Now, with the help of Exquisite Workers, BeInCrypto is getting into the NFT game with a collection of digital artwork. The “Star Edition” NFT collection will celebrate three years of honest journalism and education from BeInCrypto with nine different pieces.

Proceeds from the auction will go to help fund the Open Earth Foundation. The foundation is an R&D non-profit that utilizes cutting-edge tech to move open source platforms into the future. The overall goal is to increase planetary resilience by combating environmental issues.

According to Open Earth Foundation’s website, “To address our existential planetary challenges we must radically work together.” BIC believes that collaborations are pivotal and are interested in scaling them to high-level stakeholder networks as well as at the grassroots community level. We also feel that projects like the ones that the Open Earth Foundation produces are paramount to crafting the future we want to live in.

Star Editions NFTs

The nine NFTs set for auction reflect on the years of quality reporting BIC has featured by looking at the future of cryptocurrency. The artworks will correspond with an article written by one of BeInCrypto’s blockchain experts and will be auctioned off along with digital HD art from the Exquisite Workers group. The sale will run from Aug 29 and Aug 31 with three NFTs being minted and auctioned per day. The articles and the accompanying artworks will represent each writer’s view of what the blockchain, and our planet, will look like in the future.

While BIC experts handle the text side of each NFT, the Exquisite Workers will handle the digital art in a format that it refers to as ‘Exquisite Corpse.’ The idea behind Exquisite Corpse is that each member of the collective contributes to each image produced without having seen what the others are creating. The end result is a blended and completely unique image. BeInCrypto’s Star Edition collection will be crafted in real-time by the artists, and will debut during the auction.

Good day! I'm Mr. Red. I enjoy chasing red dots, glaring at the neighbour's cat, and eating lasagna. I once made a labradoodle kiss. In time you'll learn how purrfect I am.
