19/01/2024 Trump’s NFT Comeback: Mugshot Trading Cards To Hit Bitcoin Ordinals Amid Election Hype

Former President Donald Trump is reportedly set to make his debut on Bitcoin Ordinals. The announcement, made by CollectTrumpCards on X,revealedthe minting of Trump Digital Trading Cards NFTs on Bitcoin.

The launch noted that it is offering the purchase of 100 Trump Digital Trading Cards using WETH.

Trump Trading Cards in this series will reportedly have a limited edition of 200 1/1 trading cards from MugShot Edition. The announcement emphasizes that only 99 of these exclusive cards are left for purchase.

Ordinals debut in 2024

Bitcoin Ordinals, launched last year, got inscriptions of art and collectibles onto the Bitcoin blockchain.

The inscription process will take place and allow collectors to claim their exclusive Ordinals inscriptions later on Magic Eden. The launch carried a disclaimer that stated, “Trump Digital Trading Cards (NFTs) are intended as collectible items for individual enjoyment only, not for investment vehicles.”

The cards are explicitly stated to be non-transferrable until December 31, 2024.

Previous Trump NFTs were a hit

This development follows the success of the former president’s previous NFT ventures. The earlier series ofTrumpDigital Trading Cards sold out in record time.

The launch also comes amidhislead in the Republican leadership race and his recent commitment to oppose the creation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC).During a campaign in New Hampshire, the former POTUS was quoted saying that if elected president again, he would prevent the development of a central bank digital currency.

As the 2024 election draws near, Trump’s ongoing exploration of NFTs brings new ways of engagement in the electoral race. As per the NFT Price Floor, Trump Cards collections hold the 16th position in NFT Brand ranking with an accumulated market cap of 26,576 ETH. Over the past 24 hours, three cards collectively recorded a trading volume of 66.479 ETH and achieved 366 sales as per data revealed by the platform.

Fuku-Shiva
The term “Fuku” refers to fortune or good luck. “Shiva” refers to the Hindu deity who represents strongly polar qualities, both severe and delicate. On a beach inspired by adventures on Phi Phi island in Thailand, three youths cavort. Two are representational figures and the third is psychologically rendered. A dynamic relationship ensues between the triad; a reciprocity of active and passive states. The boy on the right engages in maneuvers of evasion, defense, and is dressed in a speedo which reiterates the colors and symbolism of the caution tape on the left and upper right frame of the composition. In concurrent reaction the psychedelic figure shoots out a rocket powered paper airplane. The nude boy seated in the froth and sand approaches in passive repose, and is met with active attention but equal physical reserve by the psychedelic being. Perhaps the most naked figure is also the least representational. Looming large, dynamic, and active, it engages its companions playfully. Various symbols interject into the otherwise naturalistic scene, most notably a beach ball and two contaminated barrels nested in the sand. The upright barrel reads “FukuShima” in Kanji. The barrel laying down reads “Dharma”. To the left the scene is bounded by caution tape, reiterating the danger of the nuclear waste while also hosting alien archetypes, whose presence, as is the nature of these entities, runs up and just behind the consciousness of the psychedelic figure’s eggshell-like skull.
